Santa Barbara
My mom’s husband’s house burned down in the Santa Barbara Tea Fire and was able to rebuild a modest 700 square foot home. I was not able to navigate a proposed design through the family approval process and consequently the star of the show, Jeff Shelton, introduced a very basic plan for construction. http://www.jeffsheltonarchitect.com/
Jeff is currently “the” best living architect. His background is as an artist, which gives him the audacity and skills to put together his designs. Most artists and architects seem to lack Jeff’s energy to get the details right, but Jeff “rolls in the riches” of the details.
After the shell was complete, my buddy Jose and I worked on the house for a week to build the install all the finishes, plumbing, tile, floors, and paint.
